It isn't just human excrement that is at issue. The United States actually let's industrial "slurries" that are not disposable in any fashion (because they are to toxic), be dumped into manure pits on industrial farms (CAFO's - confined animal feed lots) of up to 10% of the volume of the manure pits.... and then the contents are pumped all over farm land. Anyone with an ounce of common sense can deduce that this is not a "smart" thing to do..... but unfortunately politics and industry have a trait in common "short term horizons - take the easy way out" is always the motto. There is a near total void of "long term thinking" in either of these camps.
