xeldon you are way off the mark. Dry atmosphere welding counts for probably 0.01% of any subsea intervention work.
Thats's is why divers really are not interested in getting involved and nms have such a bad reputation they don't want to be tied into their wierd (underpaid) training. The heavy hitters in this field are paid huge retainers and are first choice divers on any project on at the time. These guys are earning $500,000 a year. NMS cannot match this. This is why the are in limbo with the sat phase. They will be struggling to find a replacment vessel at this time of the year because it is the busiest time and also all the dsv's that are 300 meter rated, imca compliant are chartered by ISS,Technip, Subsea 7 and Acergy. These guys all have thier own Hyperbaric proceedures and the divers on board will certainly go down the same path as ISS. Time will tell.
