I am not a day trader or shorter but I do know somebody who is and he trades in and out of biotechs and SaaS stocks which consistently move between .1c and .5c up and down - he drives a very expensive sports car and lives in a much better house than I own. He has been in and out of CNW many times and I hold some simply due to him making some noise to me. I, probably like you, have yet to make any money on them but I do see some future value and surprisingly so does he but he just likes to make a few hundred a week or day depending on volatility on the way. Good on him - keeps the liquity up.
