A bit of a dramatic heading, this is the last paragraph;
"The coal utilised at the Carbon Energy Bloodwood Creek trial site is part of the Walloon Coal Measures within the Surat Basin, at a depth of 200m and is extremely well suited for gasification. Carbon Energy announced a resource upgrade in March 2009, which confirmed that Carbon Energy has access to 364 million tonnes of coal that is equivalent to 7,320 PJ of in-situ energy. Additionally, the group will be able to recover in excess of 4,245 PJ of energy as syngas b y applying Carbon Energy’s UCG syngas technology. Approximately 2,890 PJ (68%) will be in the form of the key components of synthetic natural gas (methane and ethane).
The Carbon Energy UCG site is showcasing the world’s most advanced UCG technology with high quality, high volume gas production suited to power generation and multiple chemical synthesis products."
