cnx owning 41% of uranium miner?

    By accident I found an old austock report that mentions Uranium miner Energia Minerals (EMX)was formed to explore uranium assets previously owned by CNX, and CNX retains 41% of the company. Is this still true? Why would CNX hold assets like this when they could have sold them some time ago for cash to push forward rather than borrowing and issuing more shares?
    I've been interested in CNX since late 2010 but hadn't noticed this before...
    What do you think?
