Given Eddie's academic/corporate background I personally would have expected him to take a more prominant stance in not only selling the product but also selling the company to the stakeholders.
This perception was further mirrored in the 2019 review which was presented by Eddie. it did outline the "What" with respect to goals and achievements for 2020 but failed miserably in my view to sell the "How" with in achieving this. The document really came across more akin to a fireside chat rather than a vision into the future.
Successful investors by their very nature are a sceptical lot and whilst it is nice to see a CEO with the admirable leadership qualities that encompass family values, ethic and integrity, there is still a balance requirement to convey to stakeholders a degree of vision, direction and firmness in achieving corporate goals.
Personally, I have always considered one of the key aspects and resposibilities of leadership to be be "helping others to achieve their goals" and in this instance not only the customers and those involved with tiny beans but also the stakeholders that have taken the punt in investing in the business.
