Supermarkets are in the business of selling food etc etc,,,THEY ARE NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF COMMERCIAL PROPERTY so they do what they are focussed at and good at and THEY RENT...

Exergen is INTERESTED in the MNM brown coal.....they have entered into the JV to access the Coal which they require to reach THEIR company goals....

Exergen is foccussed on Exergen IMO,,,they have enough on their plate. MNM is a seperate company with other assets which exergen has no interest in IMO...

MNM has secured their own funding and they are seperate companies with one common goal and assets at this stage...

Its possible that they do join forces at some stage BUT right now MNM and exergen are seperate and Exergen is not responcible for financing MNM...
