Once again this is crazy. Why should i pay more rego for a car that does very limited km per year like my 4wd that is used for towing trailers and odd camping trips and someone else who pays less but is a lazy and uses there car at every chance possible and racks up 5 x the km per year?
If they really want to be serious they should make rego very low like $100 per year and give people an incentive to own multiple cars that serve a purpose. We own a big 4wd for the reasons above as well as a small 4cyl for daily driving but it costs us a lot and is not very viable. You can only ever drive 1 car at the time.
