Whilst I have no issue with this concept it will just be the same as the Carbon tax....
"Over time it will do NOTHING for cleaner air or global warming." Why do people have such an issue understanding this isn't an "Australia" problem. Australia contributes 1.5% of global emissions. That's 1 5 %!
For argument sake:
Australia has 22million people, 10 million cars, 10 coal power stations.
China has 1.3billion people, 70 million cars, 70 coal power stations.
Bottom line is ANY money we spend is just of "make us feel good" value. Personally I'd feel sad paying money for a meaningless ROI.
