    CO2. Taxing cars. Hmmm. You can have an efficient engine and still put out more emissions than the next bloke - it comes down to the power you take from the engine. A hoon uses more fuel than a steady driver. Speed.... driving at an average speed of 100kph will use roughly 30% more fuel over the same distance as that car travelling at 80kph.
    Best way to tax is to apply it to the petrol at the bowser... you use a lot, then pay a lot - drive far, drive fast, drive big, drive thirsty, you pay. Simple. No rego forms to fill out, third party automatically included, bureaucracy cut... easy as. Popular? as a turd in a swimming pool.
