A few years ago CBM was seen as a nuisance in the coal industry. Now it is viewed as a valuable energy resource. Recently in Australia we have seen a mad scramble for CBM reserves by some of the biggest natural gas players in the world. How much was Arrow or QGC worth a couple of years ago?
CO2 injection has been viewed negatively by many investors (especially those in Australia who don’t understand it) but with the economics rapidly improving recently I can see a similar mad scramble to get into this industry. ELK is fortunate to have Grieve and to be well advanced in its development. We just need the CO2.
