That's a great find Den and it makes you think about what we will become because of the higher CO2 in the atmosphere.
When you look at the release today of the Australian 2012 State of the Climate report that say that we haven't had CO2 at these levels since 800,000 years ago, and with your article I went back and looked at what we may have looked like around 800,000 years ago.

So this leads to an interesting question:
Did we evolve past Homo cepranensis and Homo antecessor because of the lowering of the CO2 from those high ( and now current ) levels, and will we regress in evolutionary terms if the CO2 goes higher.
