    Ah, nope.

    UHI doesn't make much impact. The reason USA raw and adjusted temps differ so much is because of Time of Observation bias adjustments. Not UHI adjustments.

    Time of Observation bias is a particular problem for the US data, because they progressively changed the time they took temperature readings from late afternoon to mornings over a couple of decades. So that needs to be adjusted for.

    The big impact of having to adjust for changing the time of temp readings is why the US temperature record is the most targeted by the denial camp. They like to show how much difference the adjustments for that make.
    But they don't like to recognise the valid reason for those adjustments.
