Well go and scour the IPCC reports yourself and put your own opinion on what they espouse. I usually find the "need for context" is a sign that you've really got nothing to offer.

You've twisted and turned the great lakes discussion to highlight nothing at all. There is a mountain of reports and grim predictions of drying and then floods due to climate change. My point has always been that there was a panic about drying and then a panic about flooding and both were linked to climate change. I'd allow that if this was only one such example, but that is not the case. It has been the tale of the past 50 years.

I have children and extended family, I'm concerned about future generations just like the next person. However, I have seen this climate change discussion go on since I was a child and it has grown into a political cash cow. That people now support the idea of criminalising the "denier" point of view tells it all really.
