I'm all tears. Who the heck is interested in alarmists or wants to get their information from alarmists. Read the science and learn something.
You twerps are looking for a reason not to believe the science. So you take journalistic excess and a few false statements and believe that's science. You're wrong.
Science also learns. A statement by a scientist some time ago that has not stood the test of examination and further science work isn't the current knowledge. And referring back to that and saying 'see, wrong' is no reflection on what the robust current science is telling us.
Ultimately if you guys want to keep your heads in the sand and continue to avoid learning what the science is actually saying, there is no stopping your folly.
