    It is expected that the recent crisis in coal supply in China will force the Chinese government to cut coal-export quotas in 2008. With stronger demand from the domestic market and a potential cut in exports, China might become a net importer of coal in 2008, with net imports ramping up to 70mt by the end of 2012.
