In the case of RES a reversal anywhere above 6.1 if we go below 6.1 again the med term downtrend is still intact.

having said that, if your really optomistic .In the case of the XAO, 8 days ago we had a low @ 3939 which was also the close, 4days ago we had an intraday low of 3936(a new low)but it closed higher that day at 3944 so we had a higher low on a closing basis, I would still consider that a higher low.(or a dbl bottom) as there was only 3points the difference)time will tell
