Atomic Resources is a coal exploration company, and it operates under a joint venture agreement with the Tanzanian National Development Commission, which is an arm of the Tanzanian Government.

The Tancoal Joint Venture (70% ATQ/ 30% NDC) is seeking to develop coal mining operations that will create new coal export markets for Tanzania, jobs for Tanzanian people and provide a sustainable source of power generation that will provide enormous long term economic and social benefits to Tanzania and its 45 million people.

The Ngaka Coal Project is one of the most important "nation-building" projects in Tanzania and enjoys the full support of the Tanzanian Government.
