There has been some interesting talk about shale gas, some worthwile posts on the "coal" forum on this site.
Our "lead foot" is the advertised $870 million capex for phase 1, even though the company has flagged 250-300 million contractor savings, they need to show this through a third party or commitment from a contractor which they are in the process.
From the ann this week, it is reasonable to assume that finance on Vista is a complicated negotiation as CPL will be including the "Vista Extension", hopefully they can get some finance in this quarter as announced.
Whilst the 3rd phase and Vista South shows the thermal coal mecca cpl are building, we are in need of funding to rid these short sellers. The weaker the short term coal price, better chance some projects in Oz will be delayed only helping our cause.
Hopefully not long for finance.
