Interesting article in todays West Aust discussing the Carbon Tax proposal and impact on various Industries including the coal sector. This part was of interest ;

'This time around it will be the Australia's coal industry migrating, and guess where - Africa, which is precisely where Macarthur Coal boss Ken Talbot is investing as he sells out of Queensland. The world will get the same amount of coal (and carbon) and Mr Talbot will make the same profits, but the jobs will be elsewhere.'

Interesting to note that he did sell a 10% stake in MCC on the 01/07.

Bodes well for all CDS holders in knowing that a heavy hitter in the coal industry moving into Africa. Not that I would dare mention the word 'takeover' with CDS as they have resources to shore up and furter upgrades to follow however, in time we may become a very attractive target.
