Coal racing Australia towards exports record in 2019
Think this is headline every new year we go into ?
Yep dead it is but each year toppling new records of exports !
I just dont know what to read it seems ?
The ports records or crikey ?
Maybe the guardian can lead me to the new records that are not there ?
Australia biggest export earner coal ? That was last year and well coal is dead all those ships all that dug up coal went where ?
Loaded renewable energy i guess ?
So what does the Guardian say ?
Satellite images show 'runaway' expansion of coal power in China.
So we have runaway expansion of power stations being built and records being broken with coal production and new mines opening up and even old mines restarting .
And its irony that the opening thread post states coal is dead .
What else can we view and divulge for coal being dead ?
Price? Demand ? Supply ?
Well it cant be irony can it ?
It can only be consumption to have any of the three there .
Must be the economy ?
Its still has be an economic decision being made that coal is the energy of choice for energy !
So less diesel being burned perhaps ? Yep im pretty sure less diesel is being burned as a result of more coal fired energy . Even less being burned because of renewable but what do guvnuts do for backup ?
Well they put in diesel fired generation dont they ? Certainly Victoria and South Australia have ?
Where do i find the irony ?
Bob Brown making his debut protesting renewable energy in the Franklin dam and years later protesting wind power .
What effects now would that dam have had for the world after all these years if it was producing this clean renewable energy for climate change the whole time if it was developed?
That would be say twenty or so years now doing what the worlds asking for perhaps ?
Yep all that baddy stuff would have been saving the planet all this time if it was up and running ?
But where do we go to look for the irony in all this?
Like there is literally millions upon millions of dollars invested into all this that has achieved record consumption of coal !
The coal industry does not have do anything it seems to even market its product worldwide .
All the angst all the outspoken all the wealth created and lost has achieved record consumption of coal !
It matters not what you believe or are lead to believe you can only look at the results and what has happened .
And form an opinion . Of which you may choose to react to or not react to .
All this opinion still has face that coal is being used in record amounts and is still rising .
It may have even come to a point where it will even begin a super cycle of use against all that opinion research development etc etc
That the worlds done .
All this consensus will amount to nothing at all perhaps in the face of coal . Wehter its there or not may make absolutely no difference if the world keeps expanding population wise .
The power of protest will still be there on some other tangent perhaps than population growth even ?
