but it is safe right? the plant was hit by a 8.9 quake, exploded and didnt release any radiation frlom the core (we understand). indeed all the core material is precisely there, safely locked away in the core. so given that it just lived through its 'once in a lifetime' event i think its donew very well and i call it safe.
3 incidents in 30 years doesnt make it unsafe. all of our means of producing energy come with risks but the risls seem to be realised more with oil or coal wouldnt you say?
