Just looking at IRL's website I note they have updated the section on "Coal" under they're projects list to contain the following (Current June 2009)

"IRL is currently holding discussions with a number of Coal companies with a view to participating in India’s energy sector growth. With an increasing coal demand that outstrips the supply, India is seen as having big coal mining potential for foreign companies."

Good to see something may still come of this. I thought it may have been a fire stoked by MK that went with him, but looks like ER may still be knocking on some doors.
