As for infrastructure, well Botswana is committed to tackling this requirement. The government is committed to energy self sufficiency and ultimately export.
Remember that in respect to energy it is essentially a satellite of South Africa at the moment. With that in mind Eskom has run down its infrastructure to the extent that domestic supply is threatened at peak demand. Their contracts with Mozambique and Botswana are being honoured, but it is hampering domestic supply.
Botswana is rated a safer investment destination than AUS, does not have issues akin to those created by the ANC Youth League in South Africa, and has a government that is committed to coal to suuport the next stage of the country's growth.
There's also a heck of alot of coal that NMR is sitting on.
The economic climate in Botswana favours NMR.
