Queensland Gas Company, is not owned by Queensland. It's just a name. QGC Pty Limited was part of the international BG Group before BG was acquired by Royal Dutch Shell in 2016. QGC is one of the largest of several Australian coalbed methane companies developing methane reserves within the Bowen and Surat Basins of Queensland. The company has an estimated value of around A$13 billion. Who owns Royal Dutch Shell ? U.S. Shell Oil Company is the United States-based wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell, a transnational corporation "oil major" of Anglo-Dutch origins, which is amongst the largest oil companies in the world. Approximately 80,000 Shell employees are based in the U.S. Its U.S. headquarters are in Houston, Texas.
