    as a historical aside in this context:

    In 1946 Australia was given the right to remove the whole coal liquidation (lignite) plant from the Leuna Complex in Germany as part of war reparations.

    German laborers "demontaged" the whole plant, indexed it, and loaded it onto a couple of freight trains. The trains went buy special transport to Australia, carriages and all. They were rolled into the vicinity of Melbourne, shuttled on a siding, where they blissfully rusted away.

    Wonder who bought them as scrap?

    (Demontage was a term used in Germany for shifting whole infrastructure and production facilities to the victories allies, country by country. The biggest bite went to Russia, who amongst other things tore up 80% of all Railway tracks which were then shipped to Russia. Personnel like Werner von Braun (to USA) were part of that deal.)
