Interesting article if not unsurprising.
Relative to Australia - India is about x5 in current CO2 emissions. On a per capita basis, India is about 1/8. So on the current trajectory of Aus going down and India going way up - the balance seems to be strongly up.
Trying to coerce India into more gas/nuclear through trade from Australia might slow things down but the huge energy needs of their emerging population combined their available coal is likely to sweep these pathways aside for decades.
Meanwhile Australia should weight up the pain vs gain of going green.
