Bear as I said think outside the square as Oil gets more expensive people will do anything to have and maintain supply the government has all ready said that its a national security matter oil supply.
At the third annual coal to liquids conference in bribane in 2008
Mr Ferguson (Minister for Energy) told delegates
• “Australia last year spent $7.5 billion on energy imports, more than it gained from selling oil, gas and
coal overseas and has only about eight years of oil at current rates of extraction but more than 100
years of gas and about 600 years of coal.“
• “With only about 8 years known oil reserves remaining at today's production rates, Australia is
looking down the barrel of a $27 billion trade deficit in oil and condensate by 2015.”
• “We are committing $500 million to a National Clean Coal Fund to develop and demonstrate clean coal
technologies.” … “Remaining [unallocated] funding – around $225 million – will be used to support the
demonstration of priority clean coal technologies, including coal-to-liquids projects.”
Australian Energy Security
“Energy security is absolutely critical to Australia’s
economic prosperity and [that] I believe coal-to-liquids
and gas-to-liquids will play a major role in Australia’security.
Bear to just dismiss a company is pretty silly when OIL is
going nowhere but up and getting harder to find but hey what can you do.
