If it was all as cost effective as you quote any country would be stupid to not have all of their power as renewable. But you fail to take into account reliability, space and availability of materials for these projects. In the years ahead I agree all of these renewable energy sources will continue to become more cost effective and reliable but as it stands today coal is still very much a part of global energy requirements. Not that this is right for the environment but as wrong as it is the environment doesn't dictate what big business does.
