Greenhouse gases are very important to earth as it cools the atmosphere. The moon has no atmosphere and their are no heat trapping gases to cool its surface.
Temperatures on the moon are extreme, either very hot or very cold, as hot as 200C.
NASA has has confirmed CO2 in the upper atmosphere protects earth from solar storms.

Clouds help shade us from intense heat in the day and keep us warm at night by impeding escape of infrared heat .
These gases help maintain our planet in a temperature compatible with life.
Oxygen levels are maintained to support life. Too much oxygen and we would be engulfed by fire; too little and animals would die.
