Coal may not be flavour of the month but what about coal seam gas? I know this doesn't occur in Collie because the sands allow the gas to escape but I would hazard a guess that there could be a serious amount of CSG in this deposit (note : this is an uneducated guess - geology not my bag). Anyway extraction of CSG is obviously cheaper than establishing a coal mine. What are people's thoughts?
