There were restrictions no more than 20 could gather. The organisers were fined for breaching these restrictions. That week there were around 10 new cases a day. The later sydney protest in late July was ruled unlawful but they still held it.
I agree, despite a lot of alarmist rhetoric there appeared to be no cases coming out of the blm protest. Not surprising when the event is held outside. I reckon we will get a similar result with the weekend's protests, though the authorities will be desperate to prove otherwise. Again, because it was held outside and the chance of catching the wuflu plummets in outdoor settings.
Now personally, I think you can hold a protest whenever you want. It doesnt matter whether you support the cause or not. I was just trying to determine whether the poster of this thread agreed or preferred to pick sides.
