More will do it if they think it may save them

I keep wondering if there might be a disillusioned, slightly moderate labor back-bencher with a big enough ego to think the electorate loves them personally and that they might survive if they vote against the carbon tax? I haven't heard anyone canvass the possibility but I'm not dismissing it.
An aside: Is there an english student who can tell me if that "?" was correctly placed? I've often wondered.
