    1. Wage rise or tax cut which is better?
Employers don't give wage rises so the government has no other lever to pull other than tax cut.

    2. Which is the cheaper option?
Tax cut because half the population isn't working.

    3. If welfare is better than wages why do you work? How do you balance the aspiration of the employer against the aspiration of the worker? Someone is gunna get screwed!

    4. We are digging giant holes in the ground and sending the contents offshore, let's fill them in with the trash of Asia!

    5. Under a coalition government we are heading down the UK / Menzies model. Make nothing, import everything become the slaves of the world and live off the primary producer's back..

    6. Australian manufacturing in going down the gurgler. The receivers are auctioning Australian machinery at an alarming rate. And who is buying it? Vietnam.

If you can't fix it get out of the way and let someone in who can. We can be the lucky country with some vision and commitment.

The whole population spends money they don't have and the money lenders of the world rake in the profits. The government cannot see that you have to make it here and spend it here. The government spends more overseas than in Australia; that's the problem.

When the USA went to the moon did they pay Russia for the knowledge? No they created the knowledge themselves yet we quibble about free education. Investment in the future takes a spend; you cannot get there selling wool, rice, wheat and iron ore alone.

Labor has some vision while the coalition sit counting beans!
