I saw a program about this issue where a group of renowned climate change sceptics were simply torn to shreds by a renowned climate scientist. Their arguments were much more complicated than yours...lol....and they were still made to look very silly indeed. Many of their arguments were based on false claims and data, and the remainder, when considered in the entire scheme of things were seen to be very flimsy and generally quite simplistic and silly.
You, or others here, can argue your simplistic arguments about what temperature it was yesterday etc.....lol....but that is completely irrelevant. It serves only to make you look silly.
You can argue your points with me, but like you, I don't understand all relevant data that is required to make an informed decision on this.
I, too, have reservations and doubts about AGW because I don't understand the issue sufficiently.
But when I see people with very limited understanding of the matter, madly rejecting claims because they have read a few selectively chosen articles on the subject that conveniently feed their point of view, then I'm sorry, but I find it a bit hard to take them seriously.
The fact is, it requires literally years of specific study on the matter to properly understand all the relevant data, and it's due weight in this argument.
To quote the great Paul Keating (just to make the Jettisoned Johnny supporters happy!!....lol), "back self interest, it's a winner everytime". If you think this government, or any government, is going to commit financial and economic suicide because of a belief in the need to fight global warming, then think again.
Let's get real. Some of these loony born to rulers on this forum are really losing the plot......lol. Brendan Nelson, it must be remembered is a very desperate man. Desperate men do desperate things. Brendan will settle down soon once he's gently placed on his seat at the back of the opposition ranks.....just before he retires to spend more time with his family.....lol.
