The question now is clearly will she step down??? Or will her arrogance have her stay and watch Labor completely wiped off the face of australian politics. NSW sent a clear message and now queensland has spoken in no uncertain terms.
Gillard is a done and dusted, if she had a shred of decency which she dosnt she would resign and save some face, she is absolutely pathetic and every single level
The federal government's primary vote is now at the same level which swept Queensland Labor from power - 27 per cent - indicating the coalition would win a landslide election if it were held now, a new poll shows.
In the Fairfax/Nielsen poll to be published on Monday, the Tony Abbott-led coalition holds a two-party margin of 57-43 per cent - a swing against Labor of about seven per cent.
Fairfax Media says the two-party gap has blown out from six points to 14 points in just five weeks.
"It shows that Julia Gillard, who seemed to be getting some traction in late February when Labor's primary vote rose to 34 per cent, is back in disaster territory," Fairfax says.
There were a few glimmers of hope for Labor with the party holding a two-party lead of 51 per cent to 49 per cent in Victoria.
And Mr Abbott remains on the nose with his disapproval rating at a record high of 56 per cent.
However, he remains ahead of Ms Gillard as preferred prime minister 48 per cent (up 1 point) to 45 per cent (down a point) with Ms Gillard's approval rating languishing at 36 per cent.
Labor still appears not to have got its carbon tax message across with 60 per cent of voters opposed - one point higher than in October - and only 36 per cent in favour, according to the national poll of 1400 conducted between Thursday and Saturday.
