When I worked at Rum Jungle and Mt Isa Mines in the early 50's we used Xanthic Acid and Cresylic Acid in the floatation of copper concentrates. I note they are still used so acids of various chemical compositions would presumably be used in producing CoSo4 unless there are more benign reagents available for that process.
I have studied the Barra leach circuit -nothing frightening as I can see in leach circuitry.
Notwithstanding not many cobalt aspirants have set out clearly what circuitry they prefer.
