That is exactly what I highlighted in my post on the other COB thread! COB is unique as it is in these 2%. It is 100% focus on Cobalt. No Nickel to worry about and contrary to CLQ which has a laterite ore COB has this wonderful Sulphide ore.
CLQ had around $ 117M cash at of March 31st: the previous CAPEX prevision was $ 784M. Now that they plan to increase output of Cobalt by more 100% and Nickel by almost 50% that means very likely a CAPEX way above $ 1 billion maybe around $ 1.3 Billion. They have a group of banks arranging a $500 million loan but that would still leave in my opinion at least another $ 600 million to find. Maybe an off taker will pick up a portion of the tab as a deposit but CLQ will still have to do a significant capital raise and there are already close to 800 Million shares issued. I think the CLQ project will happen but its profitability will be way less that COB's. We''ll know more in a few weeks upon publication of COB"s PFS results.
