The above link is really worth a listen for anyone interested in Cobalt.

Couple of points:

- The Cobalt market is relatively opaque, so the independent body, Benchmark minerals, sets the price used by suppliers and buyers - Current Cobalt price is about at COB PFS price.
- Summer (in northern hemisphere) is a seasonally low period for Cobalt spot prices and LME spot (which is freely available on google) is often based on small volumes that are not typically an accurate representation of price.
- Cobalt has a number of strong demand fundamentals that the majority investors are not aware of. The price outlook is strong.

COB is one of the few ASX Cobalt plays that will be built IMO. Low C1 cash cost, achievable CAPEX, PFS with post tax NPV of $544m and IRR 22% with multiple achievable improvements now mapped out - First is tailings improvements to come this quarter. Biggest impact on NPV and IRR will be improved mine life and Cobalt recoveries.

It's been a rough ride, but as the dust settles, the EV elephant in the room will loom larger, the Cobalt price will head north again, battery manufactures will circle and investors will be looking at the next Cobalt mine that stacks up. COB will rise again.
