Rex fly from sydney via dubbo on a 36 seat saab for $599 or $199 last minute, takes 3 hours. Qantaslink are coming back on april 8 with a boeing 717 jet 50 seater direct in under 2 hours, they haven't flown here for 18 years. They are saying it'll be $250-300 for a regular ticket. I've been driving and flying fortnightly for 8 months from Sydney. Anyway the real question is, what are you waiting for ? The new water pipline is into town from Wentworth. The town is really prospering once again.
