BHP state cobalt is at risk of substitution. This is firstly a long term view, and secondly not a definite.

BHP are focused on Nickel now of which Mt Thirsty also has plenty of so I dont see what your major concerns are?

Right now BAR is undervalued for its Gold potential alone. Nevermind its Cobalt and Nickel which for the earlier and if all goes well will be seeing an upturn in the near future which is where my profit lies.

I can completely understand your concerns but at the same time BAR are still a gold producer and not solely cobalt and nickel focused. Its an interesting and safer play for the long term but in the short to medium term until nickel supply begins to flood the market and cobalt becomes obsolete this could be very profitable. This is my own view of how this investment will pan out.
