I feel the game has also changed for BAR with the recent huge investment and advancement of Battery technology in both capacity and storage abilities.
Whilst Mt Thirsty is a bit of a sleeper, and Barra is mostly known as a low risk royalty-taking gold micro, its sitting on a potential world-class Cobalt cash cow, oxidised and therefore very low cost.
Cobalt is the "most fragile supply structure of all battery raw materials", and Mt Thirsty is modelled solely on cobalt extraction with nickel and manganese as by-product.
I'm a BAR enthusiast, in it now for the long term, and the future is very bright. I am hoping/expecting something to happen here in the medium/longer term but I am not holding my breath. I am happy to see astute development and value-extraction of their gold assets in the meantime.
