interesting deal. obviously points out the desire for ethical cobalt, which we knew, but i like the equity stake.
glencore is massive, but i wonder if a smaller miner like COB could integrate downstream in this fashion as well?
we might find ourselves underpinned by a mine and refinery, but also earning big additional revenue via licencing or royalties for processing other mines tails AND jvs with battery makers ?
