What I can't seem to understand is why all the Elon Musks and Panasonic's of this world are so seemingly open and happy discussing their inside research and technology development regarding the reductions in their use of cobalt. Why would they let the rest of their competition know that are so close to a break through in tech that would clearly give them a market advantage over the competition that are still using this very expensive material?.. I bet Samsung wish they had spent a bit more time on developing their very stable and cost effective batteries.
