In the primary sulphides the Co-Cu-Au will all co-exist with Co associating more with the pyrite, and Au with both the pyrire the chalcopyrite I guess. The Co displays a very strong spatial correlation with Cu but the Au less so, suggesting perhaps that the gold will be split between pyrite (Co) and chalcopyrite (Cu) concentrates.
In the weathering profile, Co is reasonably mobile and will form complexes and precipitate with Fe and Mn oxides, probably in, or immediately above the chalcocite zones and into the NCu zones. Whether the Co is recoverable from the supergene enriched zones I don't know. (.....now where's that DFS?) Some will be captured in the DSO but how much of it and how much will the company get paid for the Co in DSO?
The grade control/mine geo's will earn their stripes in this show!
