That's how capitalism works. First you find something that is free, like land or water, then you take it away, pollute or destroy it and then sell it back piecemeal.
When you understand what capitalism is, then it is clear to see that there can be no such thing as environmental capitalism or sustainable capitalism. That would be a contradiction.
