Coca-Cola reports profit decline on fourth-quarter profits

It has been reported the world's most recognised soft-drink maker, Coca-Cola Co, has posted a decine in fouth-quarter profits, due to higher marketing costs, with the company indroducing a range of new products and alterations to repatriate foreign earnings.
After-tax earnings declined to $US864 million ($A1.17 billion) or 36 cents a share, from $US1.2 billion ($A1.62 billion) or 50 cents a share in the previous year.
Revenue rose 7 per cent to $US5.55 billion ($A7.51 billion), which reflected a 4 per cent increase in gallon sales, a 3 per cent benefit from pricing and mix, and a 1 per cent benefit from structural changes.
