pilko,  You have worked out the above and I just need clarification on this sentence"

"ResApp net profit $1 billion ( 4 times Cochlear's net) divided by 700 million shares is $1.42 x 12 is $17 per share."

If the net profit is $1B, then the divi would be $1.42, not $1.42 times 12.  Where does the times 12 come into play?
