Fair enough question. I would like to know what is different now to when the following was published

    http://www.hwe.com.au/verve/_resources/Cockatoo_Island.pdf

Have they drilled and found more DFS over and above the original sub sea level 4.5m tonnes planned to be mined by Aug 2012 behind the seawall, at which point rehabilitation was planned to be commenced?

What is perhaps more pertenent is the estimate of the lower grade ore.

Regardless, with Tonys prior experience as CFO of Portman, he would have avery good handle on what's there (and whats not!)

The issue of potential seawalls is indeed most interesting. (although possibly not likely to be received enthusiastically by the World Heritage Area mafia). I wonder, would the dso potentially extend sub surface to Irvine Island? Why not build two sea walls connecting Irvine Island with Cockatoo, say 500m apart, then mine the bit in the middle, then pull the plug on the sea wall flooding the mine (thats my rehabiliation plan).

Easy...... How's that for a red herring?!
