Cockatoos are beautiful birds. Destructive but beautiful. And so big.
I've just been watching them out the back, they've found some seed I threw out in the hope of getting some growth.
We had a pet one for our youngest girl at one time. Unfortunately it got that beak &feather disease and eventually died.
It used to run around the house and when the daughter came home it would run to the door shrieking her name like a mad thing.
What I liked about it (heh-heh) was that it took a violent dislike to the mother in law. When she came to the door it would run after her biting at her ankles.
It never damaged the furniture or anything though, which is strange.
It's buried out there somewhere along with many dogs & cats.
Had a pet rosella once too which used to fly round the house. But someone left the door open one day and that was that.
